  • M.Sc in Forestry from   University of Sri Jayawardenapura
  • B.Sc. degree in Bio Science from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.

  • Free-lance researcher from 2005- 2007
  • Worked at Sri Lanka Forest Department, Central Environmental Authority and Ministry of Environmental and Natural Resources, Sri Lanka from 1994 to 2005 in different capacities.
  • Visiting lecturer for since 1996 for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of University of Colombo, University of Moratuwa , Rajarata University and University of Sabaragamuwa since 1996 to date.
