History

The Department of Building Economics at the University of Moratuwa was founded in 1983 under the patronage of the late Professor Siri Caldera. It is currently the pioneer Sri Lankan institute to offer undergraduate degree programmes in Quantity Surveying and Facilities Management. The Annual Blood Donation Campaign Organised by BESS The annual blood donation campaign organized by the Building Economics Student Society (BESS) of University of Moratuwa, was successfully held on 27th September 2017, at Wijaya Sundararama Temple, Moratuwa. The campaign was held from 9 am to 4 pm. The event was inaugurated with a Dharma Preaching. Around 250 donors participated for the blood donation.
